Posted: 09 Mar 2011 05:22 AM PST

Nokia Beta Labs released a bug fix updated of Nokia Reader (1.0.1)  for Symbian^3 devices, addressing signing in and  connectivity issues with the previous version.

Currently Nokia Reader is an experimental service and is under development, so service breaks may occur. It's an experiment to verify push notifications functionality on Symbian.

"This useful application is easy to setup: Just select your favorite feeds from a pre-populated list of the major news sources or add a new feed by typing the website address and Reader will search for the RSS feed."

Main Features:

  • Uses push notifications
  • Content directory
  • Homescreen widget
  • Supports Nokia Account

Supported devices: Nokia Reader is compatible with S60 5th Edition and Symbian^3 devices.

Notes:-

  • These bugs are not valid for S60 5th Edition devices.
  • Please follow the instructions carefully since there are several steps involved in updating the Ovi Notifications Support Package.
