Symbian^3 PR2.0 changelog and screenshots for Nokia C7-00 T-Mobile RM-691

Early today Symbian^3 PR2.0 was spotted over Navifirm under the Nokia C7 T-Mobile (Code name Tiger). Eagerly few of you guys definitely tried it out. Well result is here, check out some known changelog with screenshots of PR2.0!

Gaurav2009 over Daily Mobile's forums got the lead, he has installed the PR2.0 and has reported few changelogs with some screenshots.

Few Known ChangeLogs:-

  1. New portrait qwerty keyboard
  2. Near Filed Communication(NFC) now enabled (only on C7)
  3. Home Screen switching is now much smoother.
  4. New Pre loaded games– Fruit ninja lite, Labrynth 3d lite,Doodle fit and Action bowling demo
  5. Kinetic scrollong is much more smoother gives nice effect on ending
  6. Photos are directly opened….no need to select all ,album as option is available inside the gallery between 3 buttons
  7. Mark multiple available in contacts dont know it was there in previous version……
  8. Java updated to v2.2
  9. Phone model is c7-00.1 written there……..as it is rm-691 but it is compatible with rm-675
  10. New button ‘Change View’ in image gallery.
  11. In computer or laptop new drivers of c7-00.1 will be installed……
  12. In msg reader the voice has been changed to jane…..
  13. Quick update Office (6.4.279) and Adobe Reader (10.0.104)
  14. Battery Improved
  15. Enable animation when loading certain applications (see image scr000018)
  16. Swype is preinstalled
  17. Web browser updated to v7.3.1.20
  18. Improved audio speaker

Get Six Homescreens on your Nokia N8 without flash hack!

Last day we posted about having six homescreens on Symbian^3 device via custom firmware. Well here is small tutorial which guides you on how to have six homescreens on your Symbian^3 device without flashing your phone.

The Steps:

  1. 200159c0.zip download the file, extract the folder on the desktop [Download Here]
  2. Connect the Nokia N8 to the computer mass storage mode (very important)
  3. Enter the mass memory (the PC) and go into: E: \ Private \ 200159c0
  4. Copy the content of previously extracted (import and install) inside the folder E: \ Private \ 200159c0 (if the folder does not exist you create it manually, but if the folder exists and calls for the replacement confirmed with “yes”)
  5. Disconnect your Nokia N8
  6. Go to Settings> Phone> Phone Management> original settings> Restore
  7. restart of the terminal can enter up to 6 home simply by clicking on options> new screen

After that, you lose all your settings (location of widgets, changes places icons) but the applications and files will remain intact (photos, videos, music, messages, contacts).

Looks like Nokia is going to release the much awaited Symbian^3 PR2.0 very soon, PR2.0 is live on Navifirm under the Nokia C7 T-Mobile (Code name Tiger).

PR2.0 is available for download via Navifirm. Go ahead and test it!

The device designs looks fusion of C5-03 and C3-01, Might be Nokia C3-03.
