Opera Mobile 11 coming to Symbian, MeeGo and Windows Phone

Good news, Opera is going to launch brand new versions of the world’s most popular mobile browsers, Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mobile 11 next week at CTIA in Orlando.

Opera didn’t revealed much about what the new features these new versions are holding up, Pointing that there will also be a version optimized for tablets. Opera also promised to show a sneak peek of the new Opera Mini browser doing its magic on the iPhone and iPad.

Opera Software will debut the brand new Opera Mini browser on Android, BlackBerry, Symbian/Series 60 and J2ME phones. The Opera Mobile 11 will bring the music on the Android, Symbian, Windows 7 and MeeGo platforms. As a bonus track, Opera will give the crowd a sneak peek of the new Opera Mini browser doing its magic on the iPhone and iPad.

Our small and clever pieces of software will give you a 5-star experience, no matter what hardware you prefer”, said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. “Android users actually have two different Opera browsers to choose from: Opera Mini and Opera Mobile. Nokia Chat app updated for S60 v5 devices!

Today Nokia e-mail and IM team released an updated version of   Nokia Chat application v2.5 for Nokia S60 v5 devices. Now you can chat with your friends on Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo!  Messenger, MySpace IM and Ovi Chat —all from a single application on your Nokia phone.

New Features  :-

  • Quick and easy access to conversations via chat home screen widget. (only available for Nokia N97 and Nokia C6-00)

  • Now change your availability status right from the homescreen of your device without having to launch the app.

  • Receive background notifications and preview messages in your friend list

  • Participate in multiple conversations across different communities, New community Myspace IM added.

  • Customize status, availability and avatar settings. You can easily setup a new avatar for yourself; choose an existing image from the gallery or take a new picture!

  • Timestamps added to the messages.

Currently this update is available for the following Nokia Symbian OS, S60 5.0 devices: Nokia N97, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5250, Nokia 5530, Nokia 5800, Nokia C5-03, Nokia C6-00, and Nokia X6 (availability may vary by operator and region). Chat 2.5 application availability information for the Nokia N97 mini and Chat for the Nokia N8 and other new Symbian devices will be forthcoming.
