Nokia T7-00 Leaked Images – A cropped Nokia N8?

Couple of days ago Nokia T7-00 leaked and confirmed through User Agent Header file sitting at Nokia.com. Today we got another lead – Actually T7 has two XML Profiles - 3G and TD-SCDMA, means T7-00 will also be available in China. Check out its leaked images after break.

The Nokia T7 looks like a cropped Nokia N8:-

Although T7 is running Symbian^3 OS – the UI looks customized for China.

T7 has a Wrist strap holes at the place N8 got the MicroUSB slot.

This portion looks like untouched – same as N8.

No HDMI – T7 has microUSB port underneath where HDMI should be.

Mobile Details – Nokia T7-00 with Type RM-679 / TD-SCDMA network support.

Its has a 8MP camera, supported by dual LED, loudspeaker just below the camera. But point to be noted is that – if it is the new TSeries then why does the back labeling say Nseries?

KFBoy : Exciting Kung-Fu fighting game for Nokia touch phones

Software Update available for Nokia N8 : WMDRM DLA iPlayer plugin update

Quick heads-up, A minor software update "WMDRM DLA iPlayer plugin update" is available for Nokia N8 over OTA.

Update Description:

“This important update eliminates licensing issues you might have when playing videos downloaded through BCC iPlayer. Simply install the update to ensure DRM licenses are automatically acquired for your downloaded episodes.”

To get this update just fire up the 'Sw Update' application on your N8. The update is about 12kB in size.

Please do restart your device after the update installation!

IM for Nokia : Ovi Chat app now available for Symbian^3 devices at Ovi Store

The Nokia Ovi Chat app (v 3.1) is now available for all Symbian^3 devices over Ovi Store. Now you can IM with your friends on Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, MySpace IM and Ovi Chat —all from a single application on your Symbian^3 phone.

Phil from Nokia Ovi Blog tells us more :

Aside from the staple features that you can expect from a chat application, which we delivered in the Chat 2.5 application we also recently made available (see the blog post on that application here), we have also added an exclusive new feature and updated look and feel that has been specifically tailored for these new phones.

Similar to the Symbian^3 social experience, we have integrated chat into your phone's Contacts application. Now, when browsing through your contacts, you can see if your friend is available to chat and launch straight into a conversation with them in just a few taps. Sending an IM to your friend is now even quicker and more seamless.

To associate an IM friend with a contact in Contacts, you need only tap on their IM name in your IM friend list in the Chat application and associate that name with an existing contact. Then you're done!

Nokia Ovi Maps 3.06 Officially Graduated!

Nokia officially announced that Ovi Maps 3.06 has graduated from Nokia Betalabs. The new version has faster world maps, support Social check-ins, live traffic services and on-device country map loading.
