All-in-one business smartphone Nokia E7 starts shipping today

Finally, Nokia’s highly anticipated business smartphone Nokia E7 begins shipping to customers around the world today.

“Espoo, Finland – The highly anticipated Nokia E7 will begin arriving in stores in select markets this week, with broader availability building up quickly in several markets.

With its tilting 4 inch ClearBlack display, full qwerty keyboard and a fast access to a wide variety of apps directly on the homescreen, the Nokia E7 is the key to having a successful day in or out of the office. Importantly, the device supports business applications from leading enterprise technology partners including Microsoft and IBM.

Key features of the Nokia E7

- Easy access to private and business email
- Create, edit and share office documents and view PDF files with Adobe Reader
- Fast, secure intranet access with the built-in VPN
- High-resolution photos and HD video with the 8 megapixel camera and dual LED flash

Nokia N8 Firmware Updated to v13.016 (PR1.1)

Today Nokia N8 firmware updated to version 13.016 (PR1.1). Its previous software verison was v11.012.

You can update your Nokia N8 firmware over OTA (Over-The-Air) or via Nokia's Software Updater application, Ovi Suite on Windows PC . The Nokia N8 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), but its always a good idea to backup all your personal data before updating the firmware. The update is about 7MB in size via OTA.

Note: It may take some time before the new firmware is available for your region.

Web updated to 7.2.8.10
Quickoffice updated to 6.4.166, editing functions now enabled on the N8 (i.e. don’t have to pay to upgrade), improved zooming functions
Adobe Reader updated to 2.5.653
Big update to Nokia Email; performance improved; ‘unread emails’ flag added to homescreen widget; meeting requests can be accepted directly from email invitations; maps integration, which means people can view the meeting location on the map when the address is mentioned in the location field in the invite
General performance improvements
Dialler now works in landscape mode
Previous performance updates are rolled in and, in the full (Ovi Suite-installed, >100MB) image, there’s the facility to provide a better working starting point than hard resetting a PR 1.0 device

Nokia E6-00 spotted in wild?

Few weeks ago Nokia E6 specs were leaked over internet and now Engadget just reveled pictures of the unannounced Nokia E6. It looks like Nokia is going to announce it in MWC.

Rumors speculated that E6 would probably have a large touchscreen display, But here pictures are telling another story. Its an QWERTY device with 640×480 pixel VGA display, having 8MP EDoF camera with dual LED Flash.
