Nokia CTO Rich Green talks on future of Qt, MeeGo and Symbian

As the so called big #NokMsft partnership dust is settling down, thing are clearing up, here is the next one - Nokia CTO Rich Green talk about the futures of Qt, MeeGo and Symbian.

“Nokia plans to ship 150 million Symbian devices over the next year, which is no small number, so developers will still have plenty of opportunity to reach 150 million extra people. Qt and QML is still very much alive and as Rich Green states "It is healthy and long lived, period", with these platforms being used in MeeGo, with one of these devices being shipped this year.”

Exclusive: Angry Birds is coming to Windows Phone 7

Yes, its true. Rovio, the maker of most addictive game Angry Birds has confirmed that the game is coming to Windows Phone 7 .

In an exclusive chat with Pocket-lint, Rovio Mobile has revealed its plans to bring Angry Birds game to Windows Phone 7.

"We're working on it," said Rovio's Peter Vesterbacka, when Pocket-lint asked him if and when Angry Birds will be available on Windows Phone 7″

PR3.1 Software Version 054.003 released for Nokia E52 (With Changelog)

Nokia E52 firmware updated to v054.003 (PR3.1). Its previous software version was v053.001.

You can update your Nokia E52 firmware over OTA (Over-The-Air) or by using Windows PC applications  Nokia's Software Updater or Ovi Suite . The Nokia E52 does have UDP (User Data Preservation), but its always good idea to backup all of your personal data before updating the device firmware.

INTRODUCTION
Summaries the main differences between Nokia E52 software version 52.005 (PR 3.01) and 54.003 (PR3.1) for all Nokia E52 variants.

CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS

  • Removed Ovi files
  • In homescreen Camera shortcut is replaced with Ovi Store shortcut in Business and Personal modes.
  • New localisation string has been added to phone.loc to handle invalid sim card , text_invalid_card , has been added
  • Wrong timezone for Vietnam (Merge task for Vietnam fix)
  • Israel is available in Search application country list instead of Jerusalem.
  • Some Chinese characters cannot be find out if using the “*” key to switch the tone
  • Blank Spaces are displayed in symbol table with Thai Vowels
  • Wrong Internet APN issue
  • Java Applications downloaded from operator Turkcell channel fails to launch if the phone language is Turkish

Note: It may take some time before the new firmware is available for your region.
